“New Life” Spanish Christian Church”
What We Believe?
SCRIPTURES : We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible and that the Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice (Psalm 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16,17). The Bible is the collection of 66 books, from Genesis to Revelation. The Bible is Holy and is the very word of God. The Bible was written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Spirit in such a definite way that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and free from error.
LOVE : We believe that love for another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament churches. Love is therefore the great commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent (Matthew 22:35 & 40: John 13:34, John 15:12: 1 John 4:7-21: I John 5:1-3: Rev. 2:4 & 5).
TRINITY : We believe in the personal triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divine perfection (Matthew 28:19).
CREATION : We believe in direct and instant creation, that it was not a process, but was completed in six literal days. We reject the Gap Theory, the Accommodation Theory, the Long Day Theory, or any other theory that tries to accommodate evolution and unbelieving science with the Word of God (Gen. 1 & 2; Heb. 11:3; John 1:3).
SATAN : We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of fire (Isa.14:12-15; Ezek. 28:11-19; Matt. 25:41; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Eph. 6:10-17; Rev.20:10).
BIRTH OF CHRIST : We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:18-20; 2 Cor.5-21; 1 Peter 2:22).
DEITY OF CHRIST : We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 10:30; John 1:1 & 14; 2 Corinthians 5:19).
HOLY SPIRIT : We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine Administrator for Jesus Christ in His churches (Luke 24:49; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:4,5; Acts 2:1-4).
GIFTS : We believe that miraculous spiritual manifestation gifts are still active today. Faith, Hope and Love are the vital abiding Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12-14).
SIN : We believe that Man was created in the image of God and lived in innocence until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state, the result being that all mankind are sinners (Gen. 1:26; Gen.3:6-24; Romans 5:12, 19).
DEATH OF CHRIST : We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary for all mankind and is efficacious only to those who believe (Isa. 53:6; Heb. 2:9; 1 Peter 3; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 2:2).
RESURRECTION : We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ and the bodily resurrection of his saints (Matthew 28:1-7; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:42-58; 1 Thess. 4:13-18).
RETURN OF CHRIST : We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation rapture of all believers, the pre-millenial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom. I Thess. 4:16,17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (Mark 13:30-37; I Corinthians 15:51-53; I Thess. 1:10, 4:13-18; 5:9-10; Rev. 19:11-16; Rev. 20:1-6)
SALVATION : We believe that the depraved sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the requisites to regeneration are repentance from sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 13:3-5; John 3: 16-18; Acts 20-21; Rom. 6:23 Eph. 2:8-9), and that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures, and indwells every believer (John 3:6; John 16:8-9; Romans 9:9-11; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Eph. 4:30; Titus 3:5).
ETERNAL SECURITY : We believe that all who trust Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure in him and shall not perish (John 3:36; John 5:24; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:35-39; Heb. 10:39; I Peter 1:5).
BELIEVERS : We believe that God deals with believers as his children, that He chastises the disobedient, and that He rewards the obedient (Matt. 16:27; Matt. 25:14-23; John 1:12; Heb.12:5-11; 2 John 8; Rev. 22:12). Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:16).
LOCAL CHURCH : We believe that Jesus Christ established His church during His ministry on earth and that it is always local, visible assembly of scripturally baptized believers in covenant relationship to carry out the commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission to the New Testament churches only, and that He promised perpetuity of His churches (Matthew 4:18-22; Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 1:14-20; John 1; Eph. 3:21).
ORDINANCES : We believe that there are two pictorial-ordinances in the Lords churches: Baptism and the Lords Supper. Scriptural baptism is the immersion of penitent believers in water, administered by the authority of a New Testament church in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance not just restricted to the members of the church observing the ordinance, but to all believers. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:12 & 38; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 5:11-13).
CHURCH & STATE : We believe in freedom of worship without interference from the government and affirm our belief in civil obedience, unless the laws and regulations of civil government run contrary to the Holy Scriptures (Romans 13:1,7; 1 Peter 2:13-15).
JUDGMENT : We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to immediately be at the Judgment Seat of Christ for the determination of rewards or loss of rewards. The unsaved at death immediately go to Hell, to await the Great White Throne Judgment at which time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, that they shall be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, the place of final and everlasting judgment. We believe in a literal heaven and hell. Rom. 14:12 “So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.” (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; II Corinthians 11:13,14; II Thess.1:7-9; Rev. 20:11-15,20)
Pastor Dennis Bradley:
Dr. Dennis Bradley is the founding pastor of “New Life” Spanish Christian Church, located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, a Christian community that he, his wife, their three children and one volunteer began in their home in January of 2002. Today “New Life” Church is one of the most prominent Spanish speaking churches in Fitchburg and cities nearby. Pastor Bradley earned recognition for being the only Spanish speaking Minister who aired his weekly church services (Medicina Para El Alma) on a local Television right from the start of his ministry.
Family & Home :
Dr. Bradley was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His father was an active member of The Dominican Army. His mother was an educator and a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he learned the foundation of Christianity. Tired of religious dogmas and man made doctrines Dr. Bradley abandoned the faith and at age 19 came to The United States in search of a better future. At age 23 he voluntarily joined the United States Army as an active duty soldier and after proudly representing the U.S. for several years both nationally and abroad. He was honorably discharged in 1985 and immediately started to attend medical school as a full-time medical student and in 1990 was awarded the degree of Doctor in Medicine. Dr. Bradley passion for Jesus Christ was again revived by a message he heard on the radio preached by Dr. Billy Graham, whom he considers to be along with Dr. Rev. Anibal Garcia one of the most important role models in his life. Dr. Bradley has been married to his wife Alida Calvillo-Bradley for more than 25 years. They have five adult children: Denise, Stephanie, Dennis Jr. an Attorney and the youth pastor, Mark Bradley, an accountant and who is actively involved in the music ministry of our church by playing the piano and the guitar, and Caroline Bradlley who is a member of our choir and works by helping the youths. The Bradley’s family currently make their home in Worcester County, Massachusetts.
Education & Ministry :
Dr. Bradley attended the Berean Bible College and Global University. He also earned a Master in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston.
After completing seminary, Dr. Bradley and Alida were called to start a fellowship to reach out to people who didn’t attend church or were simply hurt by men made religious ideology and misapplied biblical doctrines. Pastor Bradley was joined by one other friend of the family, as they began a small Bible study by renting a small place at a local Assembly of God Church. The group quickly grew, and by the winter of 2002, they welcomed close to 100 members who were mostly souls who did not congregate in any church. The church continues to grow in love and faith. Getting people to know Jesus Christ as their savior is one of the main missions of the church. Dr. Bradley is an expert in addictive disorders. He is therefore; trying to develop a Christian ministry for people struggling with addictive behaviors. Based on eight principles found in the Beatitudes, this faith-centered approach to recovery has been implemented in churches across the U.S. and internationally. Other efforts include: “promoting reconciliation, equipping servant leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick, and educating the next generation.”
